This page features release notes with all the latest updates on improvements, enhancements, and manufacturer integrations in Gold.

What's Next?

Before our releases are made available to everyone, they go through rigorous testing by our development team and Early Adopters. These tests are done ahead of general availability, and feedback is provided to ensure everything works as expected. This testing period lasts for two weeks. Below is a list of the current enhancements, bug fixes, and features that are currently undergoing testing.

Version 7.33.13

System Management – Check Nominal Balances

  • Genuine foreign currency transactions are no longer shown as differences on this report. [Ref. 11324]

System Management - Personnel Security File

  • Access Codes 26 and 28 now prevent users from changing the discount values of part lines on workshop jobs using the Chg Disc button. [Ref. 11299]

Workshop Job - Deposits

  • When using the deposit feature in Workshop Job and using the Gold Service App, the deposit value now remains valid. [Ref. 10992 & 9944]

Workshop Job - Automated Time Clock Report

  • Time & Attendance labour lines are now splitting according to the rates set up in Time Clock Control and display correctly on the report. [Ref.10873]

Gold Service Portal – Jobs

  • Gold Service has now been enhanced to work with Serial Part and Plant Equipment jobs. This means engineers will now see all information for any Serial Part or Plant Equipment jobs in the App! Please Note – these changes will take effect in conjunction with App version 2.5.4. [Ref.11263]

Workshop Scheduler

  • It is now possible to create new Serial Part Invoice Details when creating a Serial Part workshop job. [Ref.SHD-903]
  • Pop Up alerts have been added to display Customer and Wholegood Events when creating jobs. [Ref.SHD-834]
  • Users can now drill down to see the outstanding WIP via the WIP Icon. [Ref.SHD-873]
  • Allow users to drill down into individual elements of each WIP. [Ref.SHD-934]
  • Some changes have been made to improve the Wholegood History Record Create screen:
    • Model and Make Field: Users can now free type in this field.
    • Year Manufactured: This field now remains blank so that users can enter the data manually (using the calendar icon or free typing), rather than the field auto populating to the current year.
    • Group Code: If no Default Group Code exists on the Company Control file, this field remains blank so the users can use the look up icon to populate the box. [Ref.SHD-854]
  • Users can now make amendments to a Wholegood from within the scheduler. [Ref.SHD-853]
  • Show the full description of the Plant item via a hover function. [Ref.SHD-930]
  • A fix has been made for rich text causing issues where stories and instructions were not displayed. [Ref.SHD-780]
  • Customer lookup selection from arrow key and Enter button has now been fixed. [Ref.SHD-924]
  • When users allocate a schedule to an existing job, they will no longer be able to search for a quote, ensuring dropdowns stay clutter-free and users can focus on relevant jobs. [Ref.SHD-892]
  • On allocate to existing job option, the list is now restricted to show only jobs relevant to that depot. [Ref.SHD-890]
  • When a customer against a job is changed in Gold, the display of the customer on Web Scheduler will changed as well. [Ref.SHD-941]
  • WSJ Search – Allow users to search by wholegood number on the search page in Scheduler. [Ref.SHD-1002]
  • A fix has been made to the ‘customer on stop’ pop up alert title so that the full text is now displayed. [Ref.SHD-1001]

John Deere Service Admin Portal (SvAP)

  • Requests that are sent from John Deere that don’t have a serial number will now generate a notification via email to the users set up. Please see updated user guide to learn how to set up the emails here. [Ref.9672]

Gold Version 7.33.12

Workshop Job – Invoicing

            • When invoicing repeatable workshop jobs, individually or via the batch, there is now an option to clear the job story when the job is reopened. [Ref. 11205 & 11207]

Gold Service Portal – Jobs (Multi Authorisation)

            • A new filter function has been introduced on the Jobs (Multi Authorisation) page (formerly Jobs (New View)), allowing users to filter job cards based on specific criteria. This enables you to view only the job cards relevant to you, improving clarity and efficiency. You can choose to apply filters as a one-time view or save them for future use. Saved filters are configured per user and will persist across sessions—even after logging out of the Portal. [Ref. 7950]
            • A sort option is available next to each column heading allowing an ascending or descending sort. [Ref. 9622]
            • Each job on this page will now show the number of engineers who have completed work on the App versus the number of engineers assigned to the job. [Ref. 8660]
            • There is now a PDF button on the Job Confirmation which allows you to send it directly to Doc Store so it is held against the job in Gold. [Ref. 8988]
            • From the Checklist tab, you can now use the print or edit icon to export the Checklist to PDF or send it directly to the Doc Store. [Ref. 5781 & 5782]

Workshop Scheduler – Job Creation

            • When creating a plant equipment job in an alpha depot, the equipment records now return correctly. [Ref. SHD-1085]
            • When creating a workshop job via the Scheduler, the Customer, Wholegood, and Invoice Type fields now appear at the top of the screen for easier access. This change, made based on user feedback, improves workflow and prevents field overwriting. [Ref. SHD-824]
            • Workshop jobs can now be created for Plant Equipment in the Scheduler. By selecting Allocate to new job from the menu, the Plant Equipment option is enabled, allowing you to select the equipment and associated service and contract codes. [Ref. SHD-824]

John Deere eCommerce

            • An option is now available to set whether the recommended retail or standard retail part price is sent in the John Deere PRISM extract. These prices are subsequently used on the John Deere eCommerce website. [Ref. 500]

Gold Version 7.33.8

Gold Operating System

            • We have updated the application’s infrastructure to ensure compatibility with newer versions of operating systems. This enhancement will enable customers to upgrade to operating systems beyond OpenSuse Leap 15.2 in the future. [Ref. 189]

CLAAS Service Office PRO

            • When labour messages were received from Service Office PRO, they were occasionally not being processed. An additional buffer time has been added to ensure labour is processed even if it is older than the last update by a few minutes. [Ref. 92]
            • Jobs with a status of Closed will no longer receive any updates from Service Office PRO so as not to change the status of the job or update it once it has been batched for invoicing. [Ref. 158]
            • When labour messages are received from CLAAS, only the job description of the first task was being updated to Gold. A change has been made to append descriptions from all tasks to the job story. [Ref. 159]

John Deere Workshop Efficiency Tracker

            • The OKTA configuration has been changed to allow Irish dealers to send workshop efficiency data to John Deere. [Ref. 454].

Company Control File 

            • The Job Card format and the Customer Export type fields in the Company Control File will no longer be overwritten when parts are created from eCommerce orders. [Ref. 11247 & 11246]

Parts Stock Turn Enquiry

            • The All Depots Totals sub section of the report has been corrected to report accurate values. [Ref. 11340]

Gold Service Job Confirmation

            • Up to 4 signatures can be selected at job completion and are displayed on the Job Confirmation document. [Ref. 8003]

CNH ASOD

            • Gold is now able to read the automatic order numbers from CNH when downloading orders. [Ref. 14]

Workshop Job Entry

            • Logging has been added to identify part numbers, descriptions and prices interchanging on workshop jobs. [Ref. 10741] 

John Deere Nominal Extract

            • Exporting the John Deere Nominal Extract to Excel now displays the values in the balance column correctly. [Ref. 9880]

Stock Order Export

            • The Manitou format exports as a CSV file with part number and quantity which can be used for other suppliers. The option has been renamed to Manitou CSV (Part;Quantity). [Ref. 9852] 

eCommerce

            • We added the ability to automatically allocate available stock to manufacturer eCommerce orders, which removes the need to manually run the Allocate Stock Program. [Ref. 10825] 

Till Sales

            • A corruption in a serial part deletion from a Till Auto Credit or Invoice has been resolved so stock levels remain in line with Stock Receipts. [Ref. 10260] 

Wholegood Deposit Invoices

            • For margin scheme sales, VAT won’t be calculated on deposit invoices. On final invoice the deposit invoice is reversed and the correct VAT is calculated. A Deposit Nominal Account must be set up by navigating to Company Control File > Wholegood > Numbers. [Ref. 10930] 

Workshop Job Request Portal

            • Model information displayed when hovering over a Wholegood has been corrected to show the Model Code. [Ref. 11010] 
            • The customer account linked to the invoice will be displayed when changing the invoice type. [Ref. 7906] 
            • Operator initials and Wholegood make will be passed to Gold when a job is created. [Ref. 7539] 
            • Clock hours will now be displayed as Latest instead of Current. [Ref. 7876] 
            • A new configuration screen has been created so invoice types and alerts can be mapped and amended within the portal. [Ref. 5324] 
            • Wholegood service notifications for wholegoods that are still in stock and have not been sold to a customer will no longer appear in the validation issues section. It will instead be shown under a No Customer section in the portal so that jobs can be created for them. [Ref. 7538] 
            • John Deere SvAP high priority alerts will appear in the colour yellow so these can be identified more easily. [Ref. 9040] 
            • Upgrade of the TLS version to enable John Deere SvAP communications within the server to continue. [Ref. 377] 
            • Cancellation messages from John Deere SvAP will no longer appear in the notifications section. [Ref. 197]

            • The wholegood serial number has been added to the Transactional Demand file as requested by CLAAS. [Ref. 10880]

John Deere Workshop Efficiency Tracker (WET)

            • We have now extended the date parameters to the JD WET batch job so it now extracts and uploads at least 6 months’ worth of data. [Ref.392]

CNH Parts Retail Inventory Management (PRIM) Inter Depot Transfer Import

            • The file format has been amended so that CNH suggested Inter Depot Transfers can be imported into Gold. The file must be converted from xlsx to csv. [Ref.9] 

AGCO Web Enquiry

            • The link to AGCO net to display part data has been re-established and the handshake error no longer occurs. [Ref.10452] 

Parts App Inter Depot Transfers

            • IDTs can now be processed via Gold Parts App using the Receive icon to access any available IDT orders. [Ref.10655]
