What's Next?
Before our releases are made available to everyone, they go through rigorous testing by our development team and Early Adopters. These tests are done ahead of general availability, and feedback is provided to ensure everything works as expected. This testing period lasts for two weeks. Below is a list of the current enhancements, bug fixes, and features that are currently undergoing testing.

Understanding Gold Releases: How Ideas Go from Concept to Implementation
We are constantly looking at ways to improve and enhance the functionality of Gold. To achieve this, our Team monitor support tickets, ideas from the Ideas Portal, actively seek out customer feedback and regularly engage with the Customer Advisory Board.
Below is a step-by-step outline of the release process and ways you can get involved. This ensures that the process of turning ideas into actual Gold functionality is smooth and effective.
& Collection
1.Idea Generation & Collection
We gather customer feedback from support tickets, the Ideas Portal, the Customer Advisory Board, and direct communication. We encourage you to continue using these platforms to voice your ideas and concerns.
The internal teams contribute ideas based on their expertise and market trends and collaborate to find solutions to meet customer requirements.
2.Development Cycle
1. Tickets are reviewed by Product Owners and are prioritised and categorised by severity and benefit to the dealers
2. Where enhancements are significant, we will engage customers in the development process to view progress and provide early feedback.
3. Our Development Team begin working on the changes and conduct quality assurance testing.
4. We are continuously developing Gold and release improvements every four weeks. Gold updates are made available to Early Adopters two weeks ahead of General Release. This allows each release to be tested in a live environment and helps us identify any issues or potential problems ahead of it being released to all users.

3.Our Early Adopers
- An Early Adopter (EA) is a customer willing to update to new Gold Releases containing defect fixes and enhancements in advance of other customers and provide feedback to Ibcos. By working with Early Adopters, we aim to improve the quality of our software and shape it to better meet the needs of our customers.
- Updates get sent to Early Adopters for testing. They are given 2 weeks to review and provide feedback.
Download our info sheet and find out more about the benefits of becoming an early adopter:
Become a Gold Early Adopter Today!4.General Release
- Any defects or issues highlighted during Early Adopter testing are considered and dealt with accordingly.
- Updates get launched to General Adopters (GA) and are visible on our What’s new in Gold release notes page.
Release Version Numbers
Wondering how our version numbers work? Our version number for software releases are increased by one digit, depending on the type of changes made in the new versioning.
We have:
- Service version changes – related to defect fixes and enhancements
- Minor version changes – related to adding new functionality
- Major version changes* – related to incompatible changes to the previous version.
For example, if Gold is on version 7.33.0, when a service version change happens, we will update to 7.33.1. If a minor version change happens, we will update to 7.34.0
*Major version changes only apply to our apps such as Gold Service and Gold Sales. For example, if Gold Service is on version 2.5.2, if a major version change happens, we will update it to version 3.0.0.
