A few changes have been made to the Workshop Job Create window to improve usability. Click through the buttons below to see these changes.

Status icons are shown on the right-hand side of the schedule and denote the current status of the job. They will change as the job moves through its cycle.

Follow the 3 steps below to easily create a workshop job on Workshop Scheduler. After selecting the duration of the job, the type, and completing key details on the form, you'll be creating jobs in no time!

Learn all about managing your engineers’ time. Set, delete or duplicate their available working hours, set advanced filters, clear and copy their working day and more.

The quick view provides you with information about your engineer. Easily view their department, task numbers, ID numbers and more.

Filters allow you to quickly access the information you need. Learn how to save, amend and delete custom filters.

You can add notes on schedules to let your team be aware of any updates, changes, or important information.

You can add jobs to the Unscheduled List for future consideration and easily reschedule them when you’re ready.

With our filters and advanced search options, you'll be able to quickly locate existing jobs and get them assigned to an engineer.

  • Sort Settings now persist in Workshop job search. [Ref.SHD-764]
  • An Expand All option in the Unscheduled Jobs List is now available. [Ref.SHD-754]
  • A close button has been added in the Job Create screen. [Ref.SHD-762]
  • A quick schedule function has been enabled so when users click Allocate to existing job, they can enter the job number (if known) and allocate it immediately, without having to go through the search screen. [Ref.SHD-755]
  • Future repeatable jobs/schedules do not show as invoiced if final invoice is not generated in Gold. [Ref.SHD-745]
  • The Instructions and Story can be viewed and closed using the same button. [Ref.SHD-763]
  • A licencing issue where Windows Scheduler is not enabled has been resolved. [Ref.SHD-749]
  • Active View – an issue with tasks not ending has been rectified. [Ref.SHD-751]

  • Customers’ Labour discounts are now being applied when jobs are created. [Ref.SHD-769]
  • Invoice Status is now updated on the tasks as it changes in Gold. [Ref.SHD-758]
  • Invoiced jobs are no longer editable in the Workshop edit before a data refresh on Scheduler. [Ref.SHD-746]
  • An issue with users being able to double click on a job to open it for editing has been resolved. [Ref.SHD-752]
  • When an internal invoice type is selected, the internal customer range is available in the dropdown. [Ref.SHD-766]
  • The Plant Hire option is disabled when creating a new job as this function is not available yet. This option will be available soon. [Ref.SHD-767]
  • Workshop create layout flow changes have been made from customer feedback, to increase process flow when creating jobs. [Ref.GD-688]

What happens to the current data stored on Workshop Scheduler?

All data is instantly viewable in the new Workshop Scheduler.

What happens to the filters I created and saved on Workshop Scheduler?

The filters have been enhanced and give greater flexibility. Therefore, they will need to be setup in the new Workshop Scheduler.

Are there any ways to optimise the performance of Workshop Scheduler?

For larger companies who hold a lot of data, we recommend closing down programmes that you are not using in the background, keeping the number of tabs open to a minimum and running your PC on a suitable resolution (920 x 1080). When using the filter options, the more depots you are viewing the slower the module will be. We recommend viewing no more than 5 depots at a time. You can also make adjustments to your web browser by turning off Hardware Acceleration and ensuring the Memory Saver option is turned on. This can be done by performing a search on your preferred web browser.
