Kubota have made changes to the way that parts are priced in their price update files. Ibcos have made changes in v7.30.7 of Gold to accommodate the new processing rules for the amended Price Update file format.

There will be no change to the way that the Kubota Price File distribution process is managed. If you subscribe to Kubota Price Update, you can continue to download the price files directly from Kubota’s system and process the data as normal.

What has changed?

Kubota have changed the way that parts are priced and have introduced a new coding structure they refer to as MG4 Codes. Many parts will now be priced using a fixed discount from Retail price, based on the new MG4 Codes provided, regardless of order type.

Kubota have, therefore, changed the format of the price data that they provide, and we have amended Gold, from version 7.30.7, to accept this new format. The new format price files have “V2” in their filenames.

Gold will record Kubota’s new MG4 Codes against your parts listings as the Buying Category. You will need to amend the rules stored in Gold to reflect this new discount structure so that Gold can calculate your purchase costs correctly going forward.
