You Asked – And It’s Already Possible! Most Requested Features on our Ideas Portal

Our Ideas Portal receives a constant flow of valuable suggestions from our users. Interestingly, some of the most popular feature requests are for capabilities that already exist.  

Here are the top three most requested features that you can start using today: 

  1. Easy way for customers to obtain copy invoices – 20 votes 

Your challenge: “We receive hundreds of requests each month for copy invoices. If invoices were available via a hyperlink on the customer statement, customers could download them themselves and payments would be sped up.” 

Good news – this already exists! Our Customer Connect module provides customers with instant, self-service access to financial documents including invoices and credit notes. They can view, download and print documents anytime, reducing re-issue requests and improving payment turnaround. 2. Post purchase invoices to used Wholegoods – 8 Votes 

Your challenge: “We’re receiving more purchase invoices for used machinery, but we have to post them as a Journal, which causes issues when paying suppliers.” 

Here’s the solution: Set up a Self Bill Attachment Code. This allows you to add supplier costs directly to a self-bill wholegood using the attachment code as the standard process – avoiding manual Journals and reducing payment complications. Log in to our Knowledge Base to find out how to set this up. 

3. Wholegood Alerts /Notes – 6 votes 

Your challenge: “We have several Product Improvement schemes that must be completed at the next service. We want to add a note to the wholegood so that whoever creates the next Workshop Job (WSJ) is alerted to outstanding work or comments. This would also help when customers ask us to do a particular job the next time it comes in.” 

We completely agree – and you can start doing this today. The Events feature within the CRM module allows you to create notes and alerts for Wholegoods that are displayed exactly when needed (for example when creating a workshop job), ensuring important tasks aren’t missed. Learn how to set up Pop Up Events and Notes. 

Bonus Tip: Did you know you can print Gold documents that hide part numbers?  

Using our Custom Designer Forms module, you can access a range of standard documents – including quotes, proformas and invoices that exclude part numbers by default. These can be customised or tailored to your business. Here’s an example.
