Kramp to Acquire Vapormatic’s Aftermarket Parts: Key Changes and What Dealers Need to Know

As you may be aware, John Deere are reassessing its global parts strategy to better support customers throughout the equipment lifecycle. As part of this, the Vapormatic UK business will close, and Kramp will acquire its aftermarket parts inventory, making the full Vapormatic range available from Kramp from 1 September 2025.

Please refer to the statement from Kramp for more information: Kramp Vapormatic Update.

Kramp will be keeping the existing Vapormatic part numbers in use.

What do I need to do as a dealer?

For dealers currently subscribing to the Kramp price updates, there is no needed action to receive the Vapormatic part prices. These will be included as part of the Kramp price updates.

Dealers currently receiving Vapormatic parts price updates from Ibcos will need to subscribe to the Kramp parts price files in order to keep their Vapormatic prices up to date. Kramp will add the Vapormatic parts range to their existing price files. Please contact your account manager or sales@ibcos.co.uk for more information.

All dealers will need to consider their existing part numbering and choose one of these options:

  1. To create new parts for the Vapormatic parts provided by Kramp, no action is required.

When the next Kramp price update is applied, new parts will be created in the catalogue for the Vapormatic parts provided by Kramp with the Kramp prefix. These parts can be created as live parts when they are sold. Any existing stock will remain under a Vapormatic prefix and can be sold and used with the original part numbers.

2. Convert all existing Vapormatic parts to the Kramp prefix using a housekeeping  routine.

This will move all stock to a new Kramp prefix part number and no stock will be visible under the Vapormatic prefix although the original part number will be retained as a supersession. All sales history will remain with the new Kramp part number and Kramp price updates will keep these up to date. Note: that this needs to be carried out before running a Kramp price update.

To use this option, view our guide here: Moving Vapormatic Parts to a Kramp Prefix

Electronic Billing

For those dealers utilising the Kramp eBilling module, invoices for Vapormatic parts will come through in the same way as the current Kramp electronic invoices with no changes needed.

For dealers without the Kramp eBilling module, the invoices will need to be processed manually.
