Thank you to all our members of the Customer Advisory Board for taking part in our latest survey. Of the 36 members, we had a total of 14 responses. Your feedback helps us shape the future of Gold and ensures that it aligns with your current and future needs.
Below are the results of the survey as well as the actions we plan on taking.
1. Manufacturer Integrations
Kramp – Of the 14 respondents, 10 of them were Kramp dealers. Although only 5 of these dealers were interested in a Webshop integration it was interesting that 7 out of 10 Kramp dealers do not use Kramp eBilling.
Granit – There were only 4 Granit dealers who participated in the survey and only 1 of them recorded interest in an automated process. Therefore, we have raised it as an idea on our Ideas Portal here and will see if there is more interest.
2. Retail Inventory Management
56% of respondents said that they would be interested in an option to send parts from other manufacturers through their existing integration to get back suggested orders and 33% were unsure.
AGCO have asked us to extend our current Managed Dealer Inventory (MDI) integration to allow multiple manufacturers to be processed through the system. And with the results of this survey, we can confirm that AGCO Aftersales Inventory Management (AIM) is in development. We will also ensure that the benefits of this integration are clearly communicated to dealers.
3. eCommerce
This information has been used to validate the scope of an upcoming eCommerce project which will initially provide our customers with a listings manager that will simplify the process of adding items to their eCommerce solution from Gold.
Our initial integration will be with WooCommerce which was highlighted as the most commonly used eCommerce platform within this survey before moving onto other solutions such as eBay, Shopify and Amazon in the future.
Later phases of this project will look at improving the integration between your eCommerce platforms and Gold system once goods have been sold online. It will look to automate a number of Gold processes; an area which many survey respondents highlighted as needing improvement.
Our Initiatives Manager, Steven Brown will be reaching out to those of you who had kindly agreed to provide us with further feedback on the project we are developing. The aim of these sessions will be to understand your eCommerce requirements in more detail and to discuss whether you would like to become an early adopter of the product post development.
4. Card Payment Terminal
We wanted to know your thoughts on the prospect of the direct integration of payment terminals with Gold. We are pleased to learn that around 90% of respondents are interested in a solution that integrates card transactions at the point of sale with Gold.
We understand that many of you now use different suppliers and 64% of the respondents have a business need for terminals across multiple depot locations.
We are currently in discussions with many industry leaders that provide payment terminal solutions and add-on services to help businesses sell more efficiently. This is one of our top priorities for future endeavours and we will soon provide recent developments, followed by investigation and engagement with suitable service providers.
5. Payroll
We wanted to know which of our customers use our current payroll solution GoldPay and if not, understand what was used instead. 2 of our respondents use GoldPay which is being replaced by a new web based highly intuitive solution to be known as Gold Payroll. The change over will start in October this year.
Of the responses from those not using GoldPay, Sage was the predominant alternative.
We asked how frequently employees are paid and 67% are paid monthly with 25% weekly and 8% at other intervals.
We also captured information on numbers of employees which varies a lot and is interesting to see how businesses are growing.
6. Other
We wanted to know if you use a Human Resources (HR) system and if so which one. 64% of respondents do with 6 different providers being identified. Satisfaction with the providers was positive. Integration with these systems was raised as an idea which has been created on our Ideas portal here so if this is of interest please comment and vote.
We tried a new VideoAsk format for the survey and wanted feedback on whether it improved the overall experience of completing the survey. 55% of respondents said yes, and 45% said somewhat. As a result, we will test a new format next time and make future surveys shorter to gauge whether that makes a difference as well.
