What We Learned from the May 2025 Customer Advisory Board Survey

In May, members of our Customer Advisory Board participated in the second survey of the year. This survey focused on questions about our Gold Service App, Gold eSign, Gold Service check sheets, customer finance opportunities and other key areas.

The findings from our survey play a key role in steering the development of our upcoming products and services so we would like to thank our members for their contribution.

Read our key takeaways from the survey below.

Gold Service App

  • Our Gold Service App is already available on Android and iOS, and we wanted to know if expanding it to Windows laptops would be valuable. The response was clear: 67% of members said Yes – a strong indication that a desktop version could be worthwhile.
  • We also explored whether customers would like engineers to have the ability to create jobs directly from the App. Responses were split evenly – 42% Yes, 42% No, with the remainder unsure. With 27 votes on the Ideas Portal, we will look to further scope out this feature.

Gold eSign

  • Our free 1-month trial of eSign is still untapped by 58% of respondents. When we asked why, the overwhelming feedback pointed to one key reason: eSign isn’t currently integrated with the Gold system.
  • The survey also highlighted where integrations would make the biggest impact. Wholegoods and Workshop Modules stood out as top priorities, with documents like Wholegood Handover Forms, Workshop Job Cards, and Warranty Documents ranked as the most valuable for eSign functionality.
  • We will use these findings to prioritise our roadmap for a future Gold eSign integration project.  Our aim is to enable eSign customers to automate sending documents to their customers for electronic signatures directly from their Dealer Management Solution.

Customer Finance

  • We asked members about the potential for integrating finance-related features directly within Gold — and the response was encouraging.

  • 42% of respondents expressed interest in providing basic finance information to their customers from within Gold.
  • A significant 67% said they’d like to store standard finance details for wholegoods, and the same percentage were interested in generating finance proposals and quotes directly from the platform.
  • Some respondents also raised important concerns regarding FCA regulations. These insights will help guide our next steps as we consider the challenges raised.

Check Sheets

  • We asked users whether they’d find value in more configurable check sheet options and improved storage within Gold — and the response was overwhelmingly positive.
  • An impressive 92% of respondents said Yes, showing strong demand for enhanced flexibility and organisation.
  • The most requested feature was the ability to store completed forms directly against relevant areas such as workshop jobs, wholegoods, serial parts, and more — helping streamline access and record-keeping.

The insights from our May 2025 Customer Advisory Board Survey have given us clear direction on where to focus next — from expanding the Gold Service App to better integrating eSign, exploring finance features, and enhancing check sheet functionality. Your feedback continues to shape our roadmap, helping us deliver more intuitive, connected, and valuable tools. We appreciate your ongoing support and look forward to sharing progress in the months ahead.
