To launch our first Customer Advisory Board survey of the year, we invited members to share their views on Planned Maintenance and Wholegood Quotations. Although the survey was concise, comprising just 12 questions, it gave us valuable insights to drive our projects forward.
Below are our key takeaways from the survey results.
1. Planned Maintenance
We asked our members whether they use the Planned Maintenance Module, if they use Workshop Scheduler for Planned Maintenance jobs, and what changes they would like to see in these areas.
- The majority of respondents indicated that they do not use our Planned Maintenance module. Instead, respondents used a variety of other systems to record and control planned maintenance contracts such as Excel spreadsheets and Wholegood journals in Gold. We plan to explore this further to identify what the Planned Maintenance module needs to include to make it more valuable to customers.
- 40% of respondents are using Workshop Scheduler for Planned Maintenance Jobs. Of those that aren’t using it, the main reason was that they didn’t have it.
- The survey revealed that none of our respondents use the batch Workshop Job Extract Program.
- A suggestion to be able to raise jobs from our Planned Maintenance module straight into Workshop Scheduler was made. This is on our roadmap and we aim to begin development in Q2/Q3 this year.
This feedback has helped us see which modules are used, what areas we can improve on and our priorities when we make enhancements to our products.
2. Wholegood Quotations
We asked our members whether they use our Wholegood Quotation module or an alternative system for quoting, as well as which features or improvements they’d like to see.
- 80% of respondents indicated that they do not use our Wholegood Quotation module. Instead, Word templates, Manufacturer Configurators and bespoke systems are used. We plan to explore this further to identify what the Wholegood Quotation module needs to include to make it more valuable to customers.
- While respondents are using alternative quoting systems, the survey revealed that 75% of them feel their quoting needs are not fully met.
- The most suggested improvement was to consider a link from a manufacturers system into Gold. A Gold web version for quotations was highlighted as a tool that would make the quotation process simpler.
Moving forward, we will be reaching out to dealers individually to discuss their specific needs, where applicable, and exploring potential integrations with manufacturer configurator systems.
