Gold Service App: What’s New in the Latest Update

We’ve introduced a range of improvements to the Gold Service App designed to make managing service jobs easier and to help engineers stay organised and productive throughout the day.

What’s new? 

  1. Serial Part and Plant Equipment Jobs 

When a Serial Part or Plant Equipment job is assigned to an engineer, all machine-related information is now available directly within the app, ensuring engineers have full visibility before and during the job. Click through our user guide to learn how to create serial part and plant equipment jobs.

2. Photo Prompts for Job Completion 

Images can be set as mandatory on the invoice type. If no photos have been added, engineers are prompted to upload one before completing the job, ensuring that every job is properly documented.  Learn how to mark images as mandatory below.

3. Trusted Engineers & Faster Image Uploads 

Trusted engineers can upload images directly to DocStore without portal approval, reducing admin and speeding up job completions.   Follow our guide to set engineers as trusted.

4. Job Start Time Visibility: Job start times are now displayed within the job details, providing clearer scheduling information at a glance. 

5. Allocated Hours Displayed: Allocated hours are now shown on each job, giving engineers better visibility of expected job duration. 

6. Improved Serial & Part Number Visibility: Serial and part numbers are now fully visible on screen, even when long, with improved spacing to ensure no information is cut off. 

7. Rolling Calendar View: Engineers can choose a 5, 6, or 7-day rolling calendar (including Saturdays and/or Sundays) directly from the settings menu for greater scheduling flexibility. 

 

How to access these features 

Make sure you are on the latest version of Gold and on Gold Service App version 2.5.6 to start using these features. To purchase more Gold Service licenses, contact your Account Manager at sales@ibcos.co.uk.
