As we reach the four-month mark of the year, it’s the perfect time to reflect on key product updates and enhancements. From exciting new features to crucial improvements, there’s been no shortage of developments. In this round-up, we’ll take a closer look at the most significant updates from the past few months and preview what’s on the horizon.
1. Gold Service Portal – Job Confirmation
Up to 4 signatures can now be selected at job completion and are displayed on the Job Confirmation document.
2. Parts Inter Depot Transfer (IDT) – Company Control Setting
Based on feedback from the Ideas Portal, a new Company Control Setting has been introduced to determine whether Last Sold and Last Purchase Dates are updated when parts are transferred from one depot to another. This can be found in Company Control File > Parts > IDT. [Ref.6806] View the idea here.
3. Workshop Scheduler – Quick Schedule
A quick schedule function has been enabled so when users click Allocate to Existing Job from the context menu, they can enter the job number (if known) and allocate it immediately, without having to go through the search screen. [Ref.SHD-755]
4. Workshop Scheduler – Expand All
Expand All and Collapse All options have been added in the Unscheduled Jobs List. [Ref.SHD-754]
5. Workshop Job Request Portal
Wholegood service notifications for wholegoods that are still in stock and have not been sold to a customer will now be shown in a Wholegood(s) with No Customer section in the portal so that jobs can be created for them. [Ref. 7538]
What’s Coming Up?
- Gold Service – Serial Parts and Plant Equipment
We are opening Gold Service up to work with Serial Parts and Plant Equipment. This means that engineers will now see the details for Serial Part or Plant Equipment jobs in the Gold Service App. Data added to these jobs will be visible in the Gold Service Portal.
- Gold Service – Multi Authorisation View
We are adding a new filter function to allow users to filter by warranty jobs, multiple invoice types, job status, jobs with multiple engineers, documents to approve, and non-Gold Service engineer jobs. A new sort option also appears against each column enabling you to sort jobs in ascending or descending order by creation date.
- BACS Payment Changes
We are introducing a new BACS payment format to comply with ISO 20022 specifications. This standardises payment formats and provides a structured data set that is sent electronically. We are currently looking for early adopters to test this new format. If you would be interested, please contact us at product_team@ibcos.co.uk.
